Delivery Terms & Conditions

The Impex Furniture Delivery Terms

We try our BEST to deliver your item safe and secure and as soon as possible. Our normal delivery timing for all our large furniture items is 2-5 working days (Unless otherwise stated on the product page) within UK mainland (may take extra 1 - 2 days for some areas in mainland Scotland). Most of the time we use 2 man delivery service but not guaranteed as we occasionally use one man delivery for our furniture items. Most of our items deliver within 3-5 days to UK mainland. Please make sure you have read and understood our delivery terms below before ordering. If you have any concern or question with any of our term written below please do not hesitate to contact us.

Collections:

You can collect by prior appointment from our warehouse in Birmingham West Midlands (B7 4NT). Depends which item you are interested to buy as some of our solid wood furniture items deliver directly from manufacturer/wholesaler, please let us know before you come so we could assist you accordingly. Collection is available between 10 am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Call us on 0121 359 3844 to make an appointment and get directions.

The Impex Furniture Delivery Service :

1. Although it's not guaranteed but most of the time your order will be dispatched same day. Every item has different delivery timings please see “Delivery options” on product page. Your delivery timing may vary, please follow our delivery dispatch notification email or text message from our courier for expected day of delivery.

2. Please note we do not guarantee 2 man delivery service for large furniture items, we may occasionally use one man doorstep delivery. Please request the delivery crew if you want room of choice service as most of the time delivery crew will be happy to deliver to your room of choice including upstairs but not guaranteed. In this case please make sure you have clear access to upstairs and there be enough angles for this item to be manoeuvred around, as our sofa beds are nearly 2 meter long carried in boxes. The delivery crew will not be able to open the packaging and take the item to upstairs, in this case delivery crew will deliver your item down stairs only. We do not charge our customers extra for room of choice delivery as we offer this service free of charge to our customers where possible.

3. We send delivery information via email including tracking details please make sure you read our dispatch notification which will be sent on the day of posting your item. Everything you need to know about the delivery will be explained in our dispatch notification, please read it carefully and if you have any question please follow the instructions provided by us in that email or contact us.

4. Couriers will only deliver Monday to Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays) anytime between 8am to 6pm, they will not deliver on weekends or bank holidays. However, Saturday delivery can be arranged for an extra cost.

5. We use professional couriers who will deliver the goods to your door step only not inside the property due to health and safety reasons. However, the delivery staff may happily place the items inside your property on the ground floor only but not guaranteed. If you live in a block of flats the couriers will only deliver to the Ground floor of the property inside the main entrance. Please note we are not liable for any damages to property or furniture while entering your property. If you have any question please do contact us. All measurements are approximate. In any case if the furniture does not fit or have excess to your property we may charge the expense for delivery and return of the item.

6. We will deliver within the specified delivery date as advertised, via various methods of delivery, (1 or 2 man, Parcel or local courier Mon to Sat 800 to 1800) Our normal delivery timing is 2-5 working days (unless otherwise stated in the ad).

7. A signature will be required to acknowledge delivery. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will be proof that you or the person, to whom the order is addressed, has received delivery. All packaging MUST be unpacked carefully to avoid damages to the content.

8. Due to the risk of money going missing, we do not operate a cash-on-delivery system unless we are using our own (Impex Furniture) in-house delivery service.

9. Any Large Solid Wood Fully Assembled Furniture items offered 3-5 working days Unlss otherwise advertised in the ad, delivery time are booked in by telephone, sms or email 1-2 days in advance so that our customer knows when to expect their consignment. Orders will only be scheduled for delivery if a delivery contact telephone number supplied.

10. Delivery outside mainland UK may be subject to a surcharge and extended lead time. The areas are listed below by postcodes so that you have visibility of them whilst ordering from us. If unsure please contact us.

Scottish Highlands: IV1-28, 30-32, 36, 40, 52-54, 63 KW1-14, PA21-38, PH33-41, 49, 50: 5-10 Working Days (Surcharge)

Scottish Offshore Islands: HS1–99, IV40-56, KA27-28, KW15-17 PH41-44, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, ZE1–99:10-14 Working Days (Surcharge)

Northern Ireland BT1-99: 5-7 Working Days (Surcharge)

Eire No Postcodes: 7-10 Working Days (Surcharge)

UK Offshore GY1-99, IM1-99, JE1-99, PO30-PO41, TR21-25: 7-10 Working Days (Surcharge)

11. You MUST check the box at the time of delivery, if the box is damaged please tell the Courier and sign as box received damaged. Most of the time the goods inside the box are intact even though the box is damaged but you MUST point out any damages to the Courier and sign as box received damaged.

12. We will not be able to compensate you if you accept the goods and do not point out any damages to the Courier. It will be considered that the goods have been delivered in good condition therefore we will not be able to ask the courier company for any compensation. These are the terms and conditions from our couriers and we do not have control over them so please make sure you understand our terms & conditions.

13. In order to keep delivery costs low, for large furniture items we only make 2 attempts at delivery. If the customer is unable to accept the delivery on the first 2 attempts, a third delivery charge will be levied. Please note that our one man delivery courier service is only to your door step, and does not extend to moving furniture up steps or inside the property. As a result, although our courier drivers will be of assistance wherever possible, we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused. For all one-man deliveries, please be aware that the driver may require assistance.

14. Whilst we make every effort to dispatch the products on time, we do not accept any liability for any failure to deliver on the stated date or at the stated time. Also we will not be responsible for loss of earning or time taken off from work to receive delivery.

15. Please note most of our large furniture items deliver in 7.5 ton truck, if your road is narrow or you think it is not possible for heavy lorries to have access up to your door please inform us with your order so we could advise our courier, they then may be able to deliver in small vehicle if possible, please note in this case there could be a delay to deliver your item (s).

16. You will become the owner of the goods at the time of delivery, provided that we have received payment in full for the goods. The only exception to this is where either designated courier or customer is collecting directly from us. In this instance, the designated courier, or customer will become of the owner of the goods once they are loaded onto the vehicle.

Special Saturday Delivery:

To avoid any failed delivery and wasted journey for most of our large furniture items for saturday delivery are pre booked over the phone or by sms/email to confirm.  We confirm time slot for all our large furniture items for Special Saturday Deliveries. Please make sure you reply to any email/call/sms from us that you are available to take the delivery if customer cannot be reached the delivery could be delayed.
